Children change rapidly
during their primary school years and International Christian School provides a secure
environment for their mental, physical, spiritual and social metamorphosis.
Emphasis on mastery of
language skills, math, science, history and Bible is strong and exposure to fine arts,
physical education, and Spanish language study are included. Small groups learn to use the
library, they are challenged by computer programs and participate in intra-school
spelling-bees and science fairs.
Children attend chapel
weekly with diversified presentation of the Gospel by teachers, parents and community
resource people. Interscholastic sports competition and training are after school
activities which teach responsibility, discipline and team spirit.
Small class size, teachers with experience, a competent administration and frequent
parent/teacher communication provide a sound, secure environment for learning.
Our students consistently score high on the exams required by the Costa Rican Ministry of
Education for graduation from sixth grade.
